About

Marty Brickey is an entrepreneur, investor, and consultant whose career spans multiple decades of innovation in media, gaming, and technology. Known for his ability to identify emerging opportunities and execute at a high level, he has built and scaled companies that have gone on to achieve major industry recognition and acquisitions. Brickey earned his Bachelor of Science in Administrative Management from Missouri State University, establishing a foundation in business strategy and operations. His early life included living in multiple regions across the United States, which helped shape his adaptability and broad perspective. In 2002, he founded Layne Morgan Media, where he pioneered the development of educational graphic novels. Under his leadership, the company produced content for major organizations including The McGraw-Hill Companies, helping redefine how educational material could be delivered in engaging and accessible formats. Building on this success, Brickey founded Flyover Entertainment, a video game company that brought together several studios, including Secret Lair Studios, Grumpy Ninja Studios, and Studio Chi’n in China. These studios were acquired by Vivendi Universal, forming part of Sierra Online and contributing to what would later become part of the Activision Blizzard global gaming ecosystem. In addition to founding and leading companies, Brickey has served as an investor, advisor, and board member for multiple organizations. His involvement with Gas Powered Games, later acquired by Zynga, further highlights his track record of contributing to high-growth ventures. Today, he operates as a consultant, leveraging his experience in executive leadership, company building, and strategic growth to advise businesses and leadership teams. Outside of business, Brickey is deeply committed to both personal discipline and philanthropy. He is an experienced pilot with over 4,000 flight hours, an avid cyclist, and a dedicated scuba diver specializing in technical wreck diving. He is also passionate about supporting veterans, particularly in addressing PTSD, anxiety, and trauma. Through his work, he has focused on leveraging technology to improve mental health outcomes and reduce suicide rates among veterans. Brickey’s career reflects a consistent focus on innovation, execution, and meaningful impact—both in business and in the lives of others.
